Vision and Values

Our vision and core values support us in striving to achieve the aims and objectives outlined in our Statement of Purpose for the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – a document explaining the services we are registered to provide with the CQC.   Our aim is therefore to provide a service that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. To that end we are committed to providing personalised and high-quality care to benefit the health needs of all our patients.

Our Values

What we see as our reason for being and what we aim to deliver as a GP Practice:

Patient led – the views and needs of the patient are at the heart of everything we do. It is important to us that patients and those caring for them, feel listened to, respected, fully involved in decision making and that they are treated with courtesy and compassion.

Effective – regardless of the shortcuts and processes available, we think independently and with only the patient in mind. As a practice we are continually adapting to the ongoing changes and demands of the health service and the population we serve.

Safe – we have robust systems and a skilled workforce in place to ensure the quality of the care we provide and ongoing monitoring, to enable us to adapt and refine the care we deliver.

 Our Vision

Where we see ourselves in the future and what we would like to achieve:

To continuously strive to develop and deliver sustainable, high-quality patient led care that is safe, effective and well-led with standardised practice across our two sites and high patient and staff satisfaction. It is important to us to treat all our patients and staff with dignity, independence, respect and honesty and in an environment, which recognises equality, diversity and inclusion and is accessible, safe and friendly.

 Our Aims and Objectives

  • To provide personalised, caring, responsive and high-quality General Practice services, committed to the health needs of all of our patients.
  • To work in partnership with our patients, their families and carers, involving them in decision making about their treatment and care and encouraging them to participate fully by listening and supporting them to express their needs and wants and enabling them to maintain the maximum possible level of independence, choice and control.
  • To recognise the rural nature of the practice and minimise medical isolation of our patients by encouraging services into the practice and providing quality primary care medical and dispensary services in the community.
  • To focus on prevention of disease by promoting health and wellbeing and offering care and advice to our patients.
  • To involve other professionals in the care of our patients where it is in their best interest, providing an informed choice to suit the patient’s needs in respect of referrals.
  • To continually improve healthcare services to patients through learning, monitoring and auditing.
  • To take care of our staff, ensuring a competent and motivated team with the right skills and training to do their jobs and to protect them against abuse.
  • To act with integrity and confidentiality and ensure robust information governance systems.
  • To treat all patients and staff with dignity, independence, respect and honesty in an environment which recognises equality, diversity and inclusion and is accessible, safe and friendly.
